andrea's restaurant, cudahy
A fire at Andrea’s Restaurant was
reported by a passerby driving near the establishment on
Packard Ave. about 11:30 p.m.
When the Cudahy Fire Department arrived, the fire had been
controlled by the sprinkler system.
According to Chief Richard Demien, Cudahy
Fire Department, the fire started around the oven and appeared
to begin spreading to the frying area. “If the hood and duct system would
have not activated, the whole building would have been lost," he
said. "The sprinkler system knocked down the fire.”
The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire and
the restaurant was opened the next day.
