AUBERRY HOUSE, OAK CREEK

A fire started on an outside wall and spread to the siding and into the attic at the Auberry House (community based residential facility). When the Oak Creek Fire Department arrived to extinguish the fire, they found that flames had been controlled by two attic sprinklers. All residents were evacuated and there were no injuries.

“Fire damage was confined to the immediate area, but it may have been a different story if the sprinklers did not hold the fire in check,” said George Krudop, Asst. Oak Creek Fire Chief.
