condominium, Stoughton

The Stoughton Fire Department responded to a fire call in a condo located on the second floor of the condominium building.

When the crew entered the unit, firefighters discovered three inches of water. They shut off the sprinkler system and asked residents who had already evacuated to wait until the new sprinkler was replaced. All residents were allowed to enter the building within two-hours of the fire.

Deputy Chief and Fire Marshall Scott Wegner said, “An un-sprinklered building would have had a different outcome.”
