Great Wolf Lodge
Lake Delton

The Delton Fire Department responded to a 1:40 pm fire call in a ground-level hotel room at the Great Wolf Lodge. Sprinklers in the room activated immediately and extinguished flames before firefighters arrived.

"The fire crew found an electrical fire had ignited in a heating and air-conditioning unit," Fire Chief Andy L. Schultz said. "The sprinkler system saved the building."

About a half-hour after the alarm, firefighting crews left as hotel employees began minor clean-up work. Hotel guests were able to return to their rooms quickly after firefighters made sure the building was safe.
