Pleasant Prairie
One hundred firefighters and emergency
medical workers fought a 9:30 p.m. fire at Honeywell Securities
at Lakeview Corporate Park in Kenosha County. The fire
ignited flattened cardboard boxes stacked about 12 feet
high, according to Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue
Although the cardboard continued to smolder and fill the 250,000
square foot building with smoke, a sprinkler system suppressed
the fire and limited its spread. There were no injuries or
structural damage to the building. The cause of the fire is
under investigation.
